On the camera front, the Mate 10 Lite comes with a 16 and 2 megapixel dual-camera at the back, and a 13 and 2 megapixel combination on the front. There are a plethora of shooting modes to choose from, including light painting and HDR.
We weren’t able to find much difference between the two cameras, though. The results of the photos are fairly accurate and the colors look a bit more natural on “warm” settings.
However, the maximum color deviations are still too high and grays turn greenish on the default “warm” setting. It’s not a bad thing, but it’s a shame the Mate 10 Lite doesn’t offer a more natural image experience.
The Huawei Mate 10 Lite is a great device for people who want a high-quality smartphone with an attractive price tag. Its design is also impressive, and the fingerprint sensor is placed in a position that’s very natural. But performance isn’t as impressive as some of its competitors, and there are a few compromises here that might be too much to handle for some.
